This committee nominates church officers and committee members to the Charge Conference for the various lay roles
of the church. The committee members are responsible for assisting persons in the congregation in identifying their
gifts and skills for service; assisting the nurture and development of Christian spiritual leadership; identifying and
recommending persons for service in the various ministry areas; equipping by training and support; deploying persons
for effective witness and service in ministry tasks; and identifying competencies needed for a variety of ministry
tasks. The Pastor chairs this committee. The Pastor sets the tone and reflects the spirit of the congregation.

The trustees are responsible for managing the church assets to include real property and equipment; for supervising,
overseeing, and caring of all real property planning and scheduling maintenance to the facilities as needed; for
evaluating insurance coverage annually; for conducting the annual review of church owned parsonage to ensure proper
maintenance; for the inspection and inventory of all equipment, setting up maintenance schedules, selecting
service contractors when appropriate; for the oversight of the use of church facilities by outside organizations;
for the administration of bequests and trusts and for conducting an accessibility audit annually. You may contact

Worship Team 2011 goals
Encourage coordination between the Worship and Media teams, working together to incorporate multimedia with
the Worship experience.
Encourage participation in worship by encouraging congregational prayers during services, encourage bringing
Bibles to worship services & Sunday School, and continue to encourage volunteers in the areas of lay reader,
children's time, ushers, and greeters, sharing musical gifts, acolytes.
Encourage sacred use of the Chapel area.
Concentrate on a vision for the evening services by seeking different genres of music and message, focusing
also on a more energized contemporary service with prayer and music that flows in such a way as to create a
powerful worship experience.

The Finance Committee prepares the annual budget of the church with input from ministry areas, committees and officers as appropriate. The Finance Committee will compile annually, a complete budget for the local church and submit it to the Administrative Council for review and adoption. The Finance Committee is responsible for developing and implementing plans that will raise sufficient income to meet the approved budget. It shall administrator the funds received according to instructions from the Administrative Council. The Committee shall carry out the administrative councils directions in guiding the financial secretary, tellers and church treasurer. The committee will make provision for annual audit; recommend proper depositories for church funds; ensure communications with the congregation on church finances; and ensure monthly financial reports are prepared and presented to the Administrative Council reflecting the financial health of the church. |
