SONSHINE KIDS
The Sonshine Kids is a program designed to help children, both those that are members as will as children from the community, come to know more about Jesus Christ. We have many children attending each week from 3 years old through 4th grade. Both children and the adults are truly blessed by this program.
The Sonshine Kids meet each Wednesday during the school year at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Beginning with a short music program, the blessing is said and each group goes to the Fellowship Hall where a snack supper is served. These suppers are prepared by members of different Sunday School classes each week. The children attend a Bible Lesson and take part in craft or game. If you would like to join, or have questions regarding the Children’s Ministries here at Red Bank United Methodist Church, please contact one of our team members, or Terri Cole in the Church Office.
56 Express
The 56 Express Program is designed for children in the 5th & 6th grades to enjoy many of the same opportunities to grow in their walk and become closer to God in a fun, safe environment led by Rob Hutchings & Lorre Liljegren.
KIDS-A-FLAME
Kids-A-Flame, our Children's Praise and Worship Team has been a hugh success.
Under the direction of Carol Waits and Jo Ann Yarsinske, they have had many
opportunities to perform including worship services, a special evening concert
and numerous special events within the church.
Our Children’s Praise and Worship Team was started in June of 2001 in response
to a great interest expressed by the children of the church. We are called to
praise and worship the Lord of all the earth and we pray this ministry of music
will enhance the worship experience, proclaim His Word, spread love and joy and
bring everyone closer to the heart of God. We believe it is important to
develop and promote our young talent and our children will be performing
special music and dramas during the coming church year.
We meet on Wednesday evenings in the Sanctuary from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. and
welcome all children between the ages of 5 and 12 to come and join us in making
a joyful noise to the Lord.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Each summer during June, we enjoy a week of evening fun and fellowship in
Vacation Bible School. The program's theme changes each year and this year, we
experienced God's Great Gallery enjoying music, missions, lessons, snacks, and
crafts each night.
On Friday night, we had a celebration for our families and friends.
SPECIAL CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS
In addition to Sunday School, Wednesday night Sonshine Kids and Kids-A-Flame;
we enjoy putting on a Christmas play each year as well as our annual Easter Egg
Hunt. We also enjoy playing on our playground any chance we get.
SONSHINE DAYS
Red Bank UMC's Pre-School Ministry springs into action each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning. This
program helps pre-schoolers begin to prepare for Elementary School while also receiving Christian teachings.
